Rock on with your self, Mr. Hulk. "I know I'm being immature and maybe exaggerating things, but it hasn't been more than a few months since I heard people murmuring that it was the anniversary of the Rwandan genocide and how it was bad that we didn't do anything. And we're doing it again. The world is doing it again, and the US is complicit in it."

You're not being immature, and you're not exaggerating. The UN is supposed to be an international peacekeeping organization -- so why isn't it doing its job? Why didn't it do its job in Rwanda? Why do we NEVER EVER learn from history??

I'm typing in caps now too because sometimes I just get SO FRUSTRATED with leaders who refuse to remember what happened ten years ago, twenty years ago, forty years ago, a century ago -- and we end up repeating history. It doesn't help that we're all so saturated with Bush v. Kerry political coverage that all we think about is who served in Vietnam and who didn't -- why are the networks not covering the violence in Darfur? Gaaaah!!
