I have a couple things to say here. First of all, I have reservations about voting for Bush as long as he continues to employ a certain member of his staff whom I cannot name for fear of having my citizenship revoked. This member of Bush's staff represents a very serious threat to civil liberties. I don't mean to sound like a liberal, but I do beleive that while the legal system does have too many loopholes, that doesn't mean we should take an iron fist approach and allow the feds to do whatever they want. As it is the federal government is assuming power they were never granted and should never have been, and they should stay the fuck off my computer and away from my backyard.

Second, I feel that the solution to our tax problem does not lie in tax cuts, tho I do beleive the tax cuts will have proved to have helped rather than hurt our economic recovery. Rather, I have always felt that the solution to our spending problems lies in cutting out all the fat and pork from the Federal government and removing the spending power that congress has. We should run the spending like a corporation would, cutting out all the crap like another elementary school named after Byrd. While maintaining vital social programs such as welfare and social security, we need to eliminate waste and corruption and we need to cut pork all together. It is a vile program that helps incumbents stay in power by givng public money to the private sector and "bringing money" back to their state, hence making them look good for the next election. If only McCain-Feingold hadn't been gutted. Save us, John McCain. You're our only hope.
